Dear Metalheads,
The Wacken Open Air has been nominated in the category "Festival of the Year" at the LEA (Live Entertainment Awards). The Festival has been nominated along with "Rock am Ring" and "Haldern Pop Festival".
The award presentation will take place on March 11th, 2008 in the Color Line Arena, Hamburg.
So wish YOUR Festival all the best on this date so that Heavy Metal can also be honored and recognized in this field.
The nomination itself shows that more and more attention is being paid to Hard Rock and Heavy Metal and that the music business can no longer shut it´s "ears" to us.
