W:O:A 2024 - Departure Information

Metalheads,
the end of W:O:A 2024 is just around the corner and we would like to thank you for being open-minded, your trust and support towards the Access Pass.

The new arrival concept with the Access Pass will remain for the W:O:A 2025. The arrival period starts again from Sunday. You can find more information about the Access Pass here.

Let´s talk about your departure:
We'll try to get you home as quickly as possible.
Switch off the navigation system and follow the signs and the instructions of the stewards, traffic control and the police - they will show you the best route and we can only do this with your support. Both highways A23 and A7 can be used to travel south and north. To avoid traffic jams on the entrances to the highways, we distribute the vehicles over several routes, just like during this year’s arrival period.

If possible, choose a time outside of rush hour for your departure - especially take advantage of the low-traffic early morning hours on Sundays.

As always, the following applies: only travel when you are sober and rested. The police will randomly do checks in the area.

Metalheads who want to start their journey home before Sunday can easily leave the area via the signposted exits. The stewards will help you get out.

You are getting picked up? Please use the signposted Kiss & Ride day parking lot in Gribbohm on Dorfstrasse and the entry point in Holstenniendorf on Kirchenweg for pickup.

The W:O:A shuttle busses to Itzehoe are scheduled from the bus-station every thirty minutes. You find the timetable here.

Before you start your engines, we would like to ask you to leave your place clean and tidy. The annual amount of waste not only pollutes the environment, but the cleaning also costs a huge amount of money and effort. - Keep the Holy Ground clean!
Our #greenwacken campaign has been running since 2019. To participate, take a photo of your tidy camping area right before you leave and share the photo publicly with the hashtag #greenwacken2024 on Instagram. The closing date for entries is 06 August 2024 at 23:59.
We will raffle great prizes among all environmentally conscious campers.
