Telekom Wacken Cup

Metal, football and community – at the Telekom Wacken Cup, worlds collide and merge into something entirely unique on the Holy Ground. Jointly created by Wacken Open Air, The Pack (Icon League) and Telekom, this is an event that feels just as loud, direct and unpredictable as the festival itself.

On the pitch, football legends such as Ansgar Brinkmann, Stefan Schnoor and Richard Golz face off alongside Icon League teams like The Pack and Eintracht Spandau, featuring well-known creators and football influencers – including Patrick Papachristodoulou, Niklas Heisen and others. The line-up is completed by acts from the music scene such as Beyond the Black, as well as an all-female team featuring players like Jil Frehse.

The tournament is led by Denis Kudat – referee and one of the most recognized football creators on TikTok, who has also been part of the 2026 World Cup. Guiding the event are iconic voices such as commentator Wolff Fuss, Karsten Linke and stadium announcer Michael Holst.

And it doesn’t get any quieter off the pitch: André Schnura, the “saxophone guy” from EURO 2024, will take over the HOLY-presented final break, delivering one of those signature Wacken moments you simply can’t plan. Throughout the other breaks, fan activations like goal wall challenges, interactive games and giveaways keep the energy high straight from the crowd.

Fans also have the chance to win something special: the new PREDATOR e-scooter by Acer.

Six teams compete in a compact tournament format, accompanied by fan activities and a strong broadcast setup.

The Telekom Wacken Cup takes place on July 29, 2026 at Wacken Open Air – from 12:00 to 15:00 live on site (next to Metal Heart) and from 17:00 onwards for free on MagentaTV and via the MagentaSport TikTok channel.
