Of lutes, bagpipes and old folklore - the program of the Wackinger Stage 2025!

[Translate to English:]

Today, not only will countless musicians invade the LGH as part of the Wacken Winter Nights Spectaculum (all information here), but we will also reveal the program for the Wackinger Stage!

Bards and bandits, poets and scoundrels, warriors, buffoons and even darker characters - over the ages the Wackinger Stage has seen many daring people on its stages. Even if this year's motto may seem rather futuristic, the stage remains true to its musical roots and so once again the aforementioned rabble will descend on the Wackinger Village. These vagabonds include well-known veterans as well as some new faces who will try to conquer the musical hearts of the keen audience.

The veterans include the pagan metal band Moonsorrow from Finland, founded in 1995, who will once again bring their dark, Nordic folklore to the people.

The Viking metalheads Manegarm from Sweden, the US pagan metallers Helsott and the German Suidakra also play in a similarly hard, musical league. All of them are also Wacken veterans, some of them with several editions under their belt.

Not quite as hard, but more melodic and gothic, we are continuing with the German "chambercore musicians" Coppelius and the folk rockers from Harpyie, who will once again be showing off their musicianship.

At this point, we shall not forget our old friends from Letzte Instanz and, just as legendary, the dark metallers from Samsas Traum.

And who has the greatest veteran status of all? Of course we haven't forgotten them - the Wacken Firefighters!

Yet, new faces have also found their way to the Holy Land as well - including In the Woods... a progressive metal band from Norway that was founded in Kristiansand in 1992 but will be taking part at W:O:A for the first time this year.

The already impressive horde is enhanced/reinforced by the melodic black metal band Istapp from Sweden, the German shanty rockers Shantallica, the mysterious, drum-wielding beekeeper-dou(!) Tabernis, the Australians The Rumjacks and the medieval rockers Vermaledyt, who have reunited after a 10-year absence, and the folk punk rockers Saint City Orchestra.

As if all this wasn't too much of a good thing, you can expect a full load of bombast at the end! Let's start with Mystopera, a folk metal opera that has brought a whole Allstar ensemble of talented guest musicians on board for its debut album - including Schandmaul, Primal Fear, Corvus Corax, Harpyie, Mr. Hurley and the Pulveraffen and more.

And then there's Miracle of Sounds - behind this name is an Irish gentleman named Gavin Dunne, who has made a name for himself in recent years with many epic compositions for the video game industry. Including collaborations for Mass Effect 3, Wasteland 2 and many other games.

We hope that, for now, these fine musical drops will quench your thirst for more, but we are still far away from the end of the journey! So, stay tuned!
