Metal is coming home - get ready for Bullhead City!

Dear Metalheads,

finally, after two long years, the time has come: Metal is coming home! This September already, more precisely September 16th, 17th and 18th, Bullhead City Festival will take place in Wacken for the first time!

Several stages led by the newly-designed main stage on the Bullhead City Plaza offer enough space for a high-quality program full of Wacken fan favorites, which we expect to be massive. After all, everyone - like, you and the musicians are starved for live music.

It is an honor for us to announce the first bands for this metal family gathering:

With Nightwish one of the biggest bands of the scene finally returns to the stage! Not only will we see the live premiere of songs from the current album "Human. II: Nature.", also the new bass player Jukka Koskinen will be celebrating his German debut. We are very happy to provide the appropriate setting for this.

Everyone, please oil up your vocal chords and get your necks warmed up! For Blind Guardian will grab the bullhead by the horns and force it down with a greatest hits program until the last one joins in singing loudly. See you in "Valhalla"!

The Wacken Wolf Pack is howling with excitement: Once again Powerwolf are inviting to the Metal Mass! They will bring their new album "Call Of The Wild“ with them, these songs will celebrated live for the very first time. Blessed are the metalheads!

We got the clergy now it is time for royality. Hence, raise your horns for Doro, the one and only Metal Queen! Her Wacken shows have always been something special, whether on the big stage or the small Metal Church - this time will be no different.

Saltatio Mortis can’t wait to hit the stages again, as well. Because finally their latest number one album "Für immer frei" can be properly celebrated - the accumulated energy will be discharged in the sign of the Bullhead.

No less we are looking forward to brutal hardcore and action in the pit from Nasty, intense black metal from legendary singer Gaahl and his band Gaahls Wyrd. Fans of Death Metal should enjoy neckbreakers coming from Endseeker and we were able to sign one of the most interesting domestic newcomers with Slope. The final band in this first announcement are Burning Witches with their 80s-styled heavy metal.

The general conditions:

This summer will be great, but it won't be completely normal again and for this reason Bullhead City will also have some special characteristics.

The capacity will be limited and coordinated with the authorities. This also applies to camping/accommodation on site, which is why not all fans will be able to take advantage of this option. Therefore we will offer 1-day tickets as well as 3-day tickets.

We will watch the further developments closely and adjust our hygiene concept according to the requirements for the given time in order to have a safe festival experience for everyone involved. More information on this will follow in due time.

We are planning to start the pre-sale at the end of June/beginning of July and will of course keep you informed - but mark September 16-18 in your calendars already!
