Day 3: Symphonic Power Metal and Blackened Thrash
Behind the third door we have a wild mixture of genres prepared for you. Both friends of great melodies and nasty noises should be pleased. The second band also paves the way for tomorrow – but we don’t want to spoiler too much!
The Austrian metal band Serenity is active since 2001 and plays Power and Symphonic Metal. The band is very productive; they have already release five albums and played countless concerts with names like Epica, Delain or Powerwolf. One of their characteristics is the usage of a female guest singer for the intense live shows and a little bit of progressivity in the songs.
Thrashing with tradition! Witchery are combining Thrash, Speed and Black Metal to their own style. The band was found in 1997, when the founders of Witchery left the legendary Satanic Slaughter, a band that already was quite a legend. They will celebrate 20 years of Witchery next year, and one of their stops will be at Wacken. It’s great to welcome them back; they last played at Wacken back in 1999!
