The W:O:A gets a tourist information board!

Dear Metalheads,
 
Today we were given a very special honor and we would like to share this moment with you accordingly!
 
In the course of more than 30 years, the W:O:A has become the most famous heavy metal festival in the world and no one who is traveling on the A23 towards the North Sea or Hamburg can overlook this special status in the future - whether metalhead or not.
 
Responsible for this are two freshly and permanently installed "tourist information boards" on the A23. We all know those large brown signs with white letters that point to sights, cultural sites, monuments and even UNESCO World Heritage Sites all over Germany. And now two more of them present the Wacken Open Air! Of course, we are absolutely proud belong to the illustrious circle of institutions that are being honored in this way

In the presence of Holger Hübner, as well as representatives of the municipality of Wacken and the state of Schleswig-Holstein, the Schenefeld office and the motorway administration, the information boards were ceremonially unveiled today. So perfectly timed for the start of construction and your upcoming arrival!
 
For us this is a huge honor and for you another milestone to fuel the anticipation on your way to the W:O:A.
