Challenges due to the weather situation on Saturday

Dear Metalheads,

Due to the enormous rainfall (last Saturday more than 50 litres per square meter within 2 hours and this Friday more than 20 litres per square meter in less than half an hour) we and the public authorities in co-operation decided to pronounce a ban on driving throughout the whole festival area. The reason has been the mud which led to huge slip danger and thereby all vehicles got stuck.

As you for sure have recognized our sitecrew and all assembly sections as f.e. the fire brigade did everything they can and worked till they burned out to make the festival go on and make your departure as good as possible with those weather conditions.

Due to the ban of driving it wasn´t possible to pump down the mobile toilets because the vehicles which pump down the toilets couldn´t drive around the camping area. This is of course not the W:O:A standard as you know it and rated it during the past years and we´re very sorry for that. Though the weather conditions made this impossible.

We´re sure that you show some understanding and thank you very much for your cool-headed behaviour and the bombastic atmosphere you delivered throughout the whole festival in spite of the weather conditions.
