ATHONITE - "Queen of the Night" - See the video!

Created by WackenHelge
07/30/2012

„Queen Of The Night“ does sound like the title of a metal song, doesn‘t it? The song by Athonite, however, which you can see below, is an adaption of a piece by Mozart. David Bonk, piano player and mastermind of this project, has rewritten and expanded Wolfgang‘s aria, not too mention giving it a huge boost by adding two guitars, bass and drums. The way it‘s supposed to be, metalheads might say. But most of you will know the - quite demanding - female vocal part anyway. It is actually pretty well known, regardless of whether you listen to Slayer or Classical.

Athonite transfer classical masterpieces into the world of Metal. You can witness it this Friday at the Wacken:Open:Air at 30 minutes past midnight on the Party Stage - including orchestra, choir, pyros and lasers.
