With The Core, you collect points for everything that connects you to the Wacken universe. Whether you scan your old festival tickets, invite friends to The Core, participate in a scavenger hunt at the festival or complete our Christmas calendar – every action moves you forward. Every point increases your toughness level. And your loyalty is rewarded.
From the first step to legendary levels of iron and steel: You work your way up level by level. And the tougher you become, the more exclusive your benefits.
At a certain level, you choose your own path:

Here's what awaits you right from the start:
- Collect points and increase your level of toughness. Even small actions like pre-registering will help you progress. Every point counts.
- Hellish rewards. At certain Metal Levels, you can even expect rewards – from special merch and ticket pre-sale rights to discounts and early-bird band info.
- Digital battle vest - Show the world you belong to the hardcore – with your digital battle vest.
- Ticket archive. Scan your old Wacken tickets within the ticketcenter to level up faster - and to unlock History patches!
And this comes with increasing intensity:
- Path Choice - From a certain level onward, you choose your path.
- Once-in-a-Lifetime Experiences - Higher levels unlock opportunities for unforgettable Wacken moments.
- Exclusive Communities - Depending on your level and path, you'll become part of your own metal legion – with symbols, colors, and a unique spirit.

The Core has only just begun. The journey will continue much further in the future. Currently, there are four levels where loyal Wacken fans can expect plenty of action.
Currently, you can reach the following levels:
- Copper
- Iron
- Bronze
- Platinum

- Sign up. Free with your Wacken ID.
- Collect points. For almost everything you do in the Wacken universe.
- Increase your difficulty level. With every point, you get tougher.
- Unlock rewards. With each new level. The higher you are, the more you earn!
- Choose your path. At a certain level, you decide on the path that suits you best.
FAQ
Anyone who logs in with their Wacken.ID. Regardless of whether they've been a member for many years – or have only recently joined the global Wacken community.
You'll automatically earn Wacken Points through various activities related to Wacken Open Air. This starts with small things like subscribing to the newsletter, activating your wristband at check-in, or topping up your account with cashless payment – and extends to purchasing tickets (including old tickets), drinks at the festival, merchandise, or additional offers (special camping, The Pit). We will continuously expand the ways you can collect points in the future.
Of course, we also want to reward you for your loyalty. Therefore, W:O:A tickets purchased since 2010 will be included in The Core. Scan your old Wacken tickets in the Wacken Ticketcenter (add tickets) to level up quickly and unlock History Patches!
Initially, four levels are planned: Copper, Iron, Bronze, Platinum – each increasing in hardness according to the metal. More levels will follow if your passion knows no bounds.
