WACKEN – HEARTS FULL OF METAL – Coming to cinemas soon!

Starting May 13, WACKEN – HEARTS FULL OF METAL will hit cinemas for a limited time only – exclusively across the DACH (G/A/S) region.
For the first time, the film tells the story of the Wacken Open Air from a deeply personal perspective. Festival founders Thomas Jensen and Holger Hübner look back on the journey from a small village festival in 1990 to one of the world’s largest metal open air festivals.
Director Cordula Kablitz Post weaves together interviews, rare archival footage, and spectacular live clips – featuring performances by Iron Maiden, Rammstein, Motörhead, and Guns N’ Roses, among others – into an approximately 90 minute journey through the festival’s past, present, and future. The documentary is further enriched by voices from iconic scene figures such as Doro Pesch, Mille Petrozza, and members of the Scorpions.
The film will celebrate its world premiere on May 9 at DOK.fest Munich.
Following its cinema run, WACKEN – HEARTS FULL OF METAL will be available exclusively on MagentaTV+ from June 4.
