Environmental protection and sustainability is as always a very important topic for us so this year we decided to expanded our measures to avoid waste and save the festival and camping area.

Since the last year glass bottles are forbidden all over the camping- and festival area but where to go with your drinks if empty plastic bottles are missing?

As answer to this question we offer free W:O:A PET bottles for decanting. These bottles are available for free at the W:O:A supermarkets all over the festival so that you will be able to decant your bought glass bottled drinks directly into PET bottles.

And this is only one example! Together with our environment protection partner called “Viva con Agua” we have planned further measures containing the donation of W:O:A plastic cups and the offering of Wacken Agua for a good cause. With every donated cup and every bought bottle of Wacken Agua you will support the environmental protection in an active way.

Further the popular Trash mobile, which will make you able to directly dispose your waste, will be again called into action in quadruplicate!

We are appealing to your environmental awareness and want to motivate you to collect your waste on the Festival Site and to try to keep your waste volume as low as possible. Do it out of respect for the environment! We need your support to achieve these goals!

Try to avoid waste as much as possible! Use reusable packages whenever possible and always keep in mind that the WOA is taking place at an agricultural area!
