The Pay with your Blood campaign has evolved into a true movement since its launch in 2024. Donating blood for a ticket – the principle is simple, the impact enormous! Participating blood donation services offered from September 2025 the possibility to donate blood and receive a concert ticket for the eight German cities of Heaven Shall Burns' “Heimat Over Europe Tour.”
The response from the community was overwhelming, and all tickets were “donated” within two weeks!

Pay with your Blood is back for round two with Heaven Shall Burn.
Eight venues in Germany will be played as part of their 2026 European tour for their current album "Heimat".
The unique aspect: You could "donate" your entry fee. Blood for a ticket – that's the motto.
If you'd like to experience the band live, you should check the presale again – a few tickets are still available at Metaltix.
Heaven Shall Burn have already hinted that they won't be relinquishing their sponsorship of the W:O:A blood drive anytime soon.

Put your heart into it
Getting Heaven Shall Burn on board as patrons for Pay with Your Blood means a lot to Wacken Open Air founders Thomas Jensen and Holger Hübner, as the band has been involved in social projects for years and also fits the concept particularly well due to their professional background.
The guys from Heaven Shall Burn are truly passionate about the cause – especially singer Marcus Bischoff, who is a trained nurse working in an intensive care unit at a hospital in Thuringia, Germany and knows exactly how important blood donations are.

Metalheads take responsibility
Blood donation isn’t a trend; it should become a habit for everyone who is able to do so.
With this campaign, we aim to wake people up. Blood supplies are urgently needed. The goal is to recruit new donors, honor regular donors, and keep the blood banks stocked.
It’s for you, for others — simply for all of us.
The Wacken community has proven for over more than 14 years that it can do this brilliantly with various blood donation initiatives: most recently, W:O:A, together with Charité’s ZTB, hosted the Bloody X-Mas Market in Berlin — a Christmas market of a bloody kind.
